I have been thinking about the etimology if the word "desespero" (despair in english).
Its is divided in two: de- without and -sperare to wait, derivated from spes: hope.
Thinking like that the one in despair should be the one without the patience or the hope, and yet we don't use this word with that intent, instead we use impatiend or hopeless (at least in my language, which would be impaciente and sem esperança respectively) despair, however, is normaly used to portray a situation with a lot of suffering (angustia, anguish) and that makes the word loses its sense, after all the one who enters the state of despair loses hope, but a hopeless one wouldn't suffer, since everything is already lost for him/her, yet, this one suffers and strugles to its objective, so now I ask, what is the word for despair then? What does the desperate one lacks or has i comparison to the others, is it just a lot of anguish or something else? What makes the desperate strugle when he/she has no hope?

I've been here for a while now, I'm happy to be here for a while now! This community helped me grow in a lot of aspects of myself, these 2 paintings, the one above and the one below, are the "living" proof of my improvement, from when I began to use this site, to right now, I still have so much to learn! so much to do!





The girl above was the one who showed me deviantart, I'm really grateful to her, with all her support during theese years and even before them! I think I wouldn't be here without her, I would probably be the little boring boy on the boring world complaining about stuff I don't understand.



Akicat, as shown on her persona above, was another really supportive friend whom I'm grateful for, her comments and presence here were not something to be overlooked, so I'm also featuring her here.



of course there are a lot other people who helped me get here and I say thank you to all of you! Even if some people don't realise that, every little comment is a joy for me, all the llamas, watches and everything are nothing compared to the weight of a comment for me, so I thank you all for spending your time with me, but please don't scare me, I'm weak to stuff like butterflies and compliments (thou I love them).
